Broad Voltage Compatibility & Low Power Consumption

Operates effectively over a wide voltage range, with a typical rated voltage of 3V. Very low current consumption is achieved; Micro piezo buzzer ideal for battery powered portable devices - remote controls being the prime example, medical monitors if I recall correctly.

Customizable Acoustic Output

Both the sound pressure level (SPL) and frequency can be tailored. A standard SPL of at least 70dB at 10cm is used, 4000Hz being the more common frequency, but either or both can be adjusted to any suitable application; gentle reminders up to near loud alarms all fall within this parameter.

Passive Design for Flexibility

As a passive component an external drive circuit is required (PWM from a microcontroller being the most common). Micro piezo buzzer with full design control of what tones, simple melodies or otherwise generated alarms are possible - active buzzers lack this entirely.

Robust and Miniaturized Construction

A compact lightweight design is achieved, 16x16x2.5mm being a near universal size. Durable materials (LCP plastic if I remember correctly) are used for the housing, heat resistant and stable in all forms of environment.

Wide Operating Temperature Range
